Everything to know about green table lamps

What is Verde Alpi marble?

Verde Alpi is a deep green marble with white and grey veins. The name means green of the Alps. Its dark, forest green colour and veining vary from base to base; see it with our other marbles under marble lamps.

What is Ice Green marble?

Ice Green is a lighter green marble with pale green and white veins that give it more movement than Verde Alpi. The name describes its cool colour. Many designs in the Rijks Collection come in both green stones.

What is the difference between Verde Alpi and Ice Green?

Depth and movement. Verde Alpi is darker and calmer, a deep green with fine veins. Ice Green is lighter and cooler, with more visible veining. On the same design, the two differ only in the stone.

Is green marble the same as green onyx?

No. Onyx is a banded, often translucent stone, and green onyx is known for pale green layers that let light through. The green lamps on this page have bases of Verde Alpi or Ice Green, which are opaque and veined rather than banded.

Which green lamps are made of metal?

The metal lamps in sage, olive and pine green. They have a smooth colour finish instead of veining, are rated IP54 against dust and splashing water, and sit with the other metal lamps.

Which green lamps have a 3D-printed porcelain shade?

The green lamps in the Maera Collection combine a Verde Alpi or Ice Green base with a white porcelain shade, 3D-printed in patterns that turn into light and shadow when the lamp is on.

Which green lamps have an alabaster shade?

Those in the Levora Collection. Their shade is alabaster, a translucent stone, so warm light passes through it and falls on the green marble below, with a pattern of its own in each shade.

How do I care for a green marble base?

Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, or a damp cloth with a pH-neutral stone cleaner, then dry. Keep lemon, vinegar and acidic cleaners away from the polished surface, as they can leave dull marks that show against the deep green.

PORCELAIN ON GREEN STONE

A 3D-printed porcelain shade with a soft wave, on a base of Verde Alpi marble. The pattern only shows once the light is on. See the Maera Collection.

THE SHADE CHANGES, THE GREEN STAYS

Lift the glass shade off a green marble base and put another one on. The Rijks Collection is built that way, and loose lampshades are sold separately.
