Everything to know about rechargeable wall lights

What is a rechargeable wall light?

A wall light with a built-in battery, so it needs no wiring in the wall and no socket nearby. You charge it with a USB-C cable and hang it where no cable runs.

Is a rechargeable wall light the same as a battery operated wall sconce?

On the wall they can look the same. A battery operated sconce often runs on batteries you replace, while a rechargeable wall light has a built-in battery that you charge again via USB-C.

Can you put up a wall light without wiring or drilling?

Yes, with the metal designs. They click onto a magnetic plate that you fix with adhesive or screws, so they hang in under a minute, and with adhesive no drilling is needed. The wooden designs hang on two screws in the wall and lift off just as easily to charge. See the metal wall lights.

Which materials are the wall lights made of?

Metal and wood. The metal designs come in finishes from gold and bronze to black and vanilla. The wooden designs are made of rubberwood or walnut, some with a glass globe or a small shade. See the wooden wall lights.

Which wall lights work with a remote control?

Tess and Tessa. The remote switches the lamp on and off, dims it and changes the light colour, and one remote can control several lamps at once. They also have an adjustable motion sensor and timer. See the metal wall lights.

Are rechargeable wall lights dimmable?

Yes. The wooden designs dim with a touch and switch between three light colours: 2700K, 4000K and 6000K. Tess and Tessa switch on with a touch and dim with the remote, and offer 20 light colours from a warm 2700K to a cool 6000K.

What do IP54 and IP20 mean?

IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, the rating of the metal wall lights. IP20 offers no protection against water, the rating of the wooden wall lights.

Are there rechargeable table lamps too?

Yes. Cordless table lamps in wood and metal, as well as marble and travertine, are under rechargeable table lamps.

AN OBJECT WHEN IT IS OFF

Walnut, with the grain running across the face. By day it reads as something you chose for the wall, not as a fitting.

TOUCH, REMOTE OR SENSOR

The metal lamps are switched by hand, by the remote that comes in the box, or by a motion sensor that lights a hallway only when someone passes.
