Scandinavian in spirit, and the counterpart to the Rijks Collection: where that one is stone, this one is wood. The system is the same, a base with a shade that comes off with a quarter turn, so the lamp can change without being replaced. See the modular collection for the whole idea.

Rubberwood, in light brown, dark brown, chestnut, black and walnut. The grain runs differently through every piece, so two lamps of the same model are never quite identical. All our wooden lamps sit together in one collection.

Clear glass, frosted glass or a linen blend. Clear glass throws a brighter, more defined pool and shows the shape of the shade, frosted glass evens it out, and linen spreads the light softly and warms it on the way through.

Take it out for the evening, yes. A covered terrace or a balcony table on a dry evening is fine. Rain is not, and leaving it outside is a bad idea even in summer, because damp and cold are hard on any battery. Every product page says how well that model copes with a splash. For a lamp that stays out under cover, look at the metal lamps.

Yes. The fitting is the same across the range, so a shade from here goes onto a Rijks base or a porcelain one just as well. That is what makes it worth owning a second shade rather than a second lamp.

Every lamp here carries a 5000 mAh battery and runs 10 to 100 hours, depending on how bright you set it. At full brightness that is about 10 hours; dimmed right down it runs for days. Three light colours, from a very warm 2200K through 2700K to a neutral 4000K, switched by touch, and charging is over USB-C.

Then you replace the shade and keep the base. A shade costs a fraction of a lamp, and swapping one takes a second, which is why a lamp here does not end up on the pile when one part gives up. They are all listed on their own in the lampshades collection.

Wood against stone. A Nordic lamp is lighter to move and warmer to hold; a marble or travertine base from the Rijks Collection is heavier and cool to the touch, and it stays indoors. Part of the Nordic range can take a splash on a covered terrace. The shades fit both.
