Everything to know about wooden lamps

Which wood are the lamps made from?

Rubberwood, from trees that have come to the end of their latex-producing life and would otherwise be burned. It is a dense hardwood with a fine, even grain that takes a finish well. The warmer tones sit together in brown table lamps.

Which shades can I choose?

The base is always wood; the shade is where the range opens up. Clear glass, frosted glass, a linen blend, 3D-printed porcelain and alabaster, each throwing a different kind of light. On the modular models the shade lifts off, and those shades are sold on their own in the lampshades collection. The material of every model is listed on its own product page.

How long does a wooden lamp last on a charge?

Most models carry 5000 mAh and give 10 to 100 hours, depending on how bright you set them. The smaller ones carry 4000 mAh and reach 10 to 80 hours. Charging is over USB-C, and the runtime of each model is on its product page.

Are the lamps dimmable?

Yes, with a touch on the lamp itself, from a soft glow up to full brightness. Colour temperature is adjustable on nearly all of them, from a very warm 2200K through 2700K to a neutral 4000K, and some models add a cool 6000K.

Can a wooden lamp be used outside?

About half the range is rated IP44 and takes a splash, so a covered terrace or a balcony table is fine on a dry evening. The rest is rated IP20 and belongs indoors. For a lamp that stays out under cover, the metal lamps are rated IP54. No wooden lamp should be left out in the rain or in frost.

How do you look after the wood?

A dry or barely damp cloth is enough. Do not soak it and keep it off a radiator or a windowsill in full sun, because wood moves with heat and humidity. That is also why the grain stays visible: there is no thick lacquer sealing it in.

Do you make wooden wall lights as well?

Yes. Part of this collection goes on the wall rather than on a surface, mounted with two screws and switched by touch. They are gathered in the wooden wall lights.

Does every lamp look the same?

No two pieces of wood are identical, so the grain and the depth of the colour differ from one lamp to the next. Two lamps of the same model belong together without being copies of each other.

ONE WOOD, MANY SHADES

Every base is turned from rubberwood, and the shade above it changes: clear glass, frosted glass, a linen blend, 3D-printed porcelain or alabaster.

LIGHT THAT MOVES WITH YOU

A chair, a windowsill, a shelf in the hallway. With the battery inside the wood there is nothing to plug in, and one charge lasts up to 100 hours.
