Everything to know about cordless table lamps
How long does a rechargeable table lamp last on one charge?
Most of our table lamps give about 10 hours at full brightness and up to 100 hours on the lowest setting, and the larger models reach 120. In everyday use that means charging roughly once a week. The exact runtime is on every product page.
Are rechargeable table lamps any good?
The category got a poor name from cheap lamps with small batteries that fade within a year. The battery decides whether a cordless lamp is worth owning, which is why ours carry a large battery and our own LED technology. It is the same thinking behind the modular collection, where a lamp you already own gets a new shade instead of being replaced.
How do you charge a rechargeable table lamp?
With a USB-C cable, the same kind your phone uses, and the cable is in the box. Some lamps can also sit on a charging station; their product page says so.
Can you use a rechargeable table lamp outside?
Some of them. The models rated IP44 or IP54 cope with splashing water and suit a covered terrace, a balcony or a garden table: the metal lamps and part of the wooden range. Most of the range is rated IP20 and made for indoors, and the rating is on every product page. Bring any lamp in during frost, because cold shortens the life of any battery.
Are the lamps dimmable?
Every table lamp here dims with a touch, from candlelight to a clear light for reading. That range is why one lamp works as a bedside lamp, on a living room side table or as a large table lamp on a console. Where a normal lamp would be in the way, there are the small table lamps.
What is the difference with battery operated lamps?
A battery operated lamp runs on disposable batteries that you keep replacing, and its light weakens as they drain. A rechargeable table lamp has a built-in battery you top up, and it keeps a steady brightness until it is empty.
Can I take the lamp on a flight?
Yes, in your hand luggage. The lamps have a built-in lithium battery, and airlines allow those in the cabin but not in checked baggage.
Which collection should I choose?
For a stone base, the Rijks Collection. For wood, the Nordic Collection. For a printed porcelain shade, the Maera Collection, and for a shade of real alabaster, the Levora Collection. For metal and wood that can stand on a covered terrace, the Essential Collection.

SMALL LAMP, A WEEK OF EVENINGS
Even a lamp that fits in one hand carries a battery for ten to a hundred hours. That is about a week of evenings between charges, over the same USB-C cable as your phone. See the small table lamps.
